The IceHogs lose, 4-3, to the Wild

ROCKFORD (WREX) — The Rockford IceHogs took the lead midway through the 3rd period, but a late Iowa goal tied it and forced overtime, where the Wild won 4-3.

After falling in a 1-0 hole early, the IceHogs responded with a power play goal from Brett Connolly and a shorthanded goal from Josiah Slavin to take the lead after 1 period. Iowa's Connor Dewar tied the game at 2 in the 2nd period.

In the 3rd, Wyatt Kalynuk scored to put the IceHogs on top, but Iowa tied the game with 26 seconds remaining to send it to overtime, where the Wild picked up the win.

The IceHogs continue their 5-game homestand against the Chicago Wolves Friday night.
