ROCKFORD (WREX) -- A local domestic violence shelter opened it's doors to the community.
VOICES of Stephenson county is now open. The shelter can house 20 people and right now their at full capacity.
It's a sign many people are in need of their services.
The organization's Executive Director said it feels good helping the community.
"Never is it a good thing for us to be needing shelter but of course we understand that need is there," Executive Director at Voices, Beth Maskell
With the shelter at full capacity and COVID-19 protocols in place, only one household can be in a bedroom.
