ROCKFORD — Principals Of two Stateline schools found out Thursday that their schools achieved Lighthouse status. Those two schools were Highland Elementary and Monroe Center Grade School.
To become a Lighthouse school, they had to go through a rigorous process that included multiple visits and the creation of an evidence binder.
Also, they were judged on leadership measurements, and academic systems were considered for this status. As of Thursday, less than 700 schools have Lighthouse status.
