ROCKFORD (WREX) — A major collision in downtown Rockford on Monday killed one person according to the Winnebago County coroner.
A release says 56-year-old Marta Esquivias was driving near North Church and Whitman and passed away from her injuries following a crash with a Rockford Fire Department truck.
The crash closed down the road for several hours and took the woman's life.
The release from the coroner's office doesn't indicate who was at fault for the crash or if anyone else was hurt at the scene.
