A 36-year-old man also suffered life-threatening injuries, police say.
Two other people suffered "serious" injuries, according to police.

The shooting on Independence Ave. was the third shooting over a three hour stretch Tuesday.
In total, six people were shot at three different locations over a period of three hours with two people dying from the shootings.
During an impromptu news conference at the Independence Ave. shooting, Rockford Police Chief Carla Redd says the violence needs to stop.
"It is pretty frustrating to see the violence level continue in the city," Redd said. "This is Rockford, this is not who we are and we are going to try to restore peace to our city."
