Much drier air helps get rid of the stuffy and muggy conditions that have been stuck in the Stateline since the weekend. While the lower humidity only lasts 2 days, the comfortable conditions at least provide a break from the summer humidity.
A cold front moves through Tuesday night, dropping the dew points by nearly 20 degrees. While the air heats up into the 80's, you won't feel the added mugginess. We'll hold onto the drier air through Thursday, giving us two days to enjoy the comfortable conditions.
In addition to the high humidity leaving, the clouds will also clear out thanks to the drier and more stable air. We'll see a couple days of sunny weather for the first time since last week.
Enjoy the break while it lasts- by Friday, the heat and humidity spikes, making conditions feel like the 90's. With temperatures jumping into the mid-90's over the weekend, the high humidity pushed the heat index up even further. We may see heat indices top 105 degrees by Sunday. Have a plan to stay cool since there won't be much relief from the heat this weekend, even at night since overnight lows will be very warm as well.
