Four teenagers arrested on weapons charges in Rockford

Rockford Police arrest four people on weapons charges, including two minors.

Officials say just before 6 p.m. on Monday, a call came in referencing a man armed with a shotgun at the 1600 block of 10th Avenue. When police were in route, the subject with the shotgun had left the are in a silver vehicle toward 12th Street. 

A traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of 11th Street and 13th Avenue. During the stop, officers searched the vehicle and found a loaded shotgun inside. 

18-year-old Baranor Douthard and 19-year-old Brian Price were arrested and charged with unlawful use of a weapon and defacing marks on a firearm. Two male juveniles, ages 15 and 16, were also arrested and charged. Their names are not being released at this time.
