Racial injustice was the focus of discussion for faith communities here in the Rockford area on Saturday.
This weekend, 14 different faith organizations gathered to talk about how to bring people together in the Rockford area.
The talks are part of a four meeting series about desegregation. It's goal is to gain insight into the trends taking place here at home and come up with some solutions.
"Unfortunately, we are racially segregated in this community and so we really wanted to bring people together to do something about that," Pastor Rebecca White Newgren said. "We really believe that when people of all different kinds come together they really do love each other and really believe the best."
Saturday's discussion was the fourth and final meeting in the series.
