Five different fire departments teamed up to handle a structure fire in Monroe Center early Friday morning.
Monroe Township Fire received a call just after 4 o'clock at the corner of Royster Road and Wendorf Road.
Officials say the call came in from a train engineer who saw flames coming from a home near the railroad tracks.
Upon arrival, firefighters saw the flames coming from the back of the garage.
Monroe Fire said t took 5-10 minutes to put the fire out.
The damage is limited to the exterior of the garage and minor smoke damage inside the garage.
Total damage cost is estimated at $25,000.
Four people and two dogs were in the house and evacuated safely during the incident.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation
