Nine Harlem athletes sign college letters of intent


Nine student-athletes from Harlem High School made their college commitments official at a signing ceremony Wednesday in front of lots of friends and family. The list includes Anaiah Moore, who will play basketball at UW-Milwaukee, an NCAA Division I school.

"It means a lot," Moore said of signing her letter. "I've trained for this opportunity. To be right here is such a blessing."

Moore joins fellow Harlem grad McKaela Schmelzer with the Lady Panthers, although the two did not play together in high school, as Moore transferred from East to Harlem her senior year.

The other athletes to make their commitments official are listed below.

Nolan Hensley - Norwich University, swimming

Justin Nimtz - Robert Morris University, football

Martez Dunn - Robert Morris University, football

Kamrone McAllister - Quincy University, football

Taylor Crout - Benedictine University, basketball

Anaiah Moore - UW-Milwaukee, basketball

Dylan Connelly - Highland Community College, golf

Liza Stalcup - Lawrence University, volleyball

Stephanie Richards - University of Central Missouri, bowling
