Love's Travel Stop in Roscoe lived up to its name this Valentine's Day. The gas station and rest stop surprised customers today with a free lunch, snacks, and gas. Whether people are daily regulars or just passing through along I-90, Love's wanted to send people on their way with a smile.
This includes one Beloit family who is moving to Florida, but has had a few setbacks because of the recent snow. Bob Macnider, the General Manager of Love's Travel Stop in Roscoe, bought the family breakfast and plenty of snacks for their 19-hour drive. He says, "You know for a first reaction it was pretty emotional, you could tell they were under a lot of stress with the move. The parents were very appreciative, there were a lot of hugs and a couple tears. The kids were very excited."
This random act of kindness isn't the only way the travel stop shows its love. The Love's in the Stateline also donates millions of dollars towards charities that help children each year.
