UPDATE: At least 17 dead in Florida school shooting

Parkland, Fla. -
A school official says there are numerous fatalities from the high school shooting in South Florida.
The Associated Press is reporting that at least 17 people are dead following the shooting.
Broward County Superintendent Robert Runcie says, "It is a horrible day for us."
The suspect, 19-year-old Nicolas Cruz, is reportedly a former student and has been taken in to custody.
Broward County Sheriff Scott Isreal says the suspect was arrested without incident off school grounds in a nearby community. He didn't elaborate on when the suspect had attended Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parikland.
Officials say the FBI has arrived and will begin processing what he describes as "horrific scene."
