There are two cases of confirmed Legionnaires disease at the veterans home which got statewide attention after 13 residents died in two years.
According to the Illinois Department of Public Health, both of the patients are residents at the Quincy Veteran's Home. After the positive tests, staff removed faucets from rooms and collected water samples for testing.
Officials say both of the residents are doing well. An investigation is underway to find the source of Legionella bacteria. The state has recently come under fire after 13 residents in the home died of the disease in 2015 one of those deaths wasn't reported until months later.
