ROCKFORD (WREX) -
Four Auburn High School students recently earned the perfect score of 36 on the ACT, a college entrance exam.
Junior Ethan Stombeck and seniors Logan Power, Will Snedegar and Lucas Turner learned of their success back in January. According to RPS 205, only around 1/10th of 1 percent of students who take the ACT earn a 36.
"Earning a perfect score is no doubt impressive," said Superintendent Ehren Jarrett. "Four students earning a 36 at the same school is a solid reflection of hard work and dedication. Congratulations to these students, their families and teachers and staff at Auburn High School."
Two of the four students -- Logan Power and Will Snedegar -- were named semifinalists for the National Merit Scholarship in September. All four students are in the RPS 205 Gifted Academy.
