Rockford native Fred VanVleet continued his record-breaking January with another career-high in scoring, breaking a mark he set earlier in the month.
The Los Angeles Lakers didn't have an answer from the Toronto Raptors sixth man off the bench. VanVleet scored 25 points in just 20 minutes, making 9 of 13 field goals, including 3 of 4 three-pointers. He was a perfect 4-for-4 at the free throw line, and added 4 assists, 2 rebounds, 2 steals, and no turnovers.
VanVleet's earlier career-high for scoring in a single game was set on January 11 against the Cleveland Cavaliers, when he went for 22 points. After missing two games due to a bruised knee, the Forest City native hasn't missed a beat with yet another stellar performance.
