The Rockford IceHogs broke through a scoreless first two periods on Tuesday night at the BMO Harris Bank Center, scoring all four of their goals in the final 20 minutes to earn a 4-1 victory over the Bakersfield Condors.
This was the Hogs' first home game in more than two weeks, returning from a six-game road trip. Rockford put 30 shots on net in the first two periods, but couldn't score against the Condors, who held a 1-0 lead after 40 minutes.
Andreas Martinsen needed just 48 seconds of the third period to tie the game. Seven minutes later, Tanner Kero gave Rockford the lead, and then less than a minute after that, Gustav Forsling powered another goal home. Adam Clendening, playing in his first home game since returning to Rockford in a trade, put an empty-netter into the cage to seal the deal.
Collin Delia made 23 saves in net for Rockford, who returns to action on Friday for Pink in the Rink night against the Ontario Reign. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 pm at the BMO Harris Bank Center.
