A 17-, 16-, and 13-year-old are arrested after the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office said officers found them with a loaded gun and marijuana.
According to the sheriff's office, a Winnebago County Sheriff's Deputy saw a car commit a traffic violation in the area of Elm St. and S. Central Ave. Monday night. During a traffic stop the deputy got consent to search the car. The deputy found a fully loaded 9mm handgun along with 10 to 30 grams of marijuana. The handgun had the serial numbers removed and the 16-year-old admitted to having the gun and drugs.
The 13-year-old was found to have an outstanding warrant.
The 16-year-old was charged with aggravated unlawful possession of a handgun, and possession with intent to deliver marijuana, among other charges.
Both the 16 and 13-year-old were lodged in the Juvenile Detention Center. The 17-year-old was later released on traffic charges.
