A teen arrested for accidentally shooting a man on Tuesday faces three felony charges.
The Ogle County State's Attorney Office says the 16-year-old is being charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm and reckless discharge of a firearm.
Police say the teen accidentally shot a 20-year-old Mt. Morris man in the 400 block of West Washington Street around 2:30 in the morning.
The victim was taken to KSB Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
The teen is being held at the Kane County Juvenile Detention facility at this time.
The teen also faces a misdemeanor charge for possession of a firearm without a valid FOID card.
Officials say he will return to court for a status hearing on January 18 at 9 a.m.
