Police looking for Rockford man accused of armed robbery

Rockford Police Department is looking for a man wanted in two separate armed robberies.

Curtez Woods, 22, is accused of robbing someone at the Mobil gas station at 4432 Auburn Street on Dec. 18. Police said the victim was not hurt. Eight days later, on Dec. 26, Rockford Police responded to an armed robbery on the 600 block of St. Louis Avenue. The 73-year-old victim told officers two suspects came up to him in an apartment hallway and robbed him at gunpoint.

The 17-year-old suspect was arrested and taken into custody. His name has not been released because he is a juvenile. Police are still looking for Woods.

He's wanted on 2 charged of armed robbery, one charge of burglary and one charge of aggravated battery.
