A Boone County man will spend 2 years in prison for failing to register as a sex offender.
Levi D. Parks pleaded guilty for failure to register as a sex offender on Jan. 4, according to Boone County State's Attorney Tricia Smith.
Officials said a Boone County Sheriff's Deputy tried to serve papers to Parks at his registered address. The owner of the home told the deputy Parks no longer lived there and officials said Parks didn't register a new address.
He will spend 2 years in prison and will have one year of mandatory supervised release. He will have to be registered as a sex offender once he is released from prison.
