Children's Home and Aid got a new home Tuesday, right in the heart of the Midtown District in Rockford.
Before this move, the Children's Home and Motherhouse Crisis Nursery were located in separate buildings. This move allows the group to have everything under one roof so it can be more user friendly to better serve the community.
"I think that it will enable us to have a bigger presence in Rockford, better visibility and with better visibility is better name recognition in the community and then better access for families to use us," said Lisa Piper, Regional VP for Children's Home and Aid.
Children's Home and Aid can provide different help for a wide range of people. The group says people can stay at the home depending on what their immediate needs are.
