Freeport junior Deion McShane put together a jaw-dropping performance at the 2017 IHSA boys track and field state finals, bringing four medals back to the Pretzel City.
McShane set the new state record in the 300m hurdles with a 36.53 finish. He earned silver in the 110m hurdles and 200m dash, as well as placing 5th in the long jump, leading the way in the 2A finals.
Rockford Christian's Riley Wells earned 1A gold in the 800m run, and anchored the Royal Lions to victory in the 4x400m relay.
Forreston's AJ Christensen earned silver in both 1A hurdles events, while teammate Mason Wright won gold in the triple jump.
