Belvidere North senior Jenna Lutzow has put together an unprecedented resume during her running career with the Blue Thunder, most recently featuring a state championship finish in the fall cross country season. She will continue her career at Missouri in the SEC.
"I really wanted to see how I could grow as a runner," said the future Lady Tiger. "See how good I could become with all those competitors."
Lutzow signed her letter one day after Belvidere North captured the NIC-10 girls spring track championship, and will be competing for a return to state as a senior after winning the 800m silver medal last year.
"It's bittersweet because I can't believe I've done so much here. I've done a lot to impact this school. Having the other girls look up to me as a role model, it means the world to me that I was not only a good athlete, but a good person for them to continue on that legacy," said Lutzow.
