ROCKFORD (WREX) -

With 100 percent of precincts reporting last night, it appeared that Republican John Guevara had maintained his Winnebago Co. board seat in District 19. Today, mail-in votes have changed the results of that race.

Rockford Board of Elections has updated its results this morning to include a large number of mail-in ballots and say there are still many more to be tabulated.

Last night, Guevara appeared to narrowly defeat Democrat Daniel Fellars, however these mail-in ballots have pushed Fellars into the lead by just 24 votes.

Rockford Board of Elections tells 13 WREX as long as a mail-in ballot was postmarked by Tuesday, the city has two weeks to receive any ballots before the results are official.

Votes were added to numerous other area races, but no other winners have been affected at this time.  We will continue to update these numbers as they become available.  For the latest results, please click here.
