Two Rockford residents forced out of their vehicle at gunpoint

Two people are forced out of their vehicle by gunpoint late Tuesday night.

Around 11:30 Tuesday night, Rockford Police responded to the 4200 block of Harrison Avenue where a 23 year old Rockford woman and a 25 year old Rockford man were forced out of their Yukon at gunpoint. The two people were sitting in their vehicle listening to music when 3 people approached their vehicle, one of them pointing a shotgun at the male driver. The other two suspects pulled the male driver out of the vehicle and began punching him.

Both victims were able to run away.

One of the suspects drove off in the white, 2004 GMC Yukon.  The other two suspects drove off in a tan or gray Jeep.

The two victims did not sustain major injuries.

One of the suspects is being described as a Hispanic male around 6'10" and 160 pounds. He has long, black hair, a thin beard, and is about 20 years old. He was wearing dark clothing and had a shotgun. Another suspect is described as a 20 year old male, around 5'5" and wearing dark clothing and a black mask. The third suspect is described as wearing black clothing and a black mask.

This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Rockford Police or Crimestoppers.
