Do you have strong feelings about this year's upcoming presidential election? Many do – and we're giving you an open mic to say anything you want.
We're providing you with a political soap box—literally. Over the next two weeks we will be traveling around northern Illinois with one intention: to hear what you have to say about this year's presidential race.
Everyone has an opinion, and this year, those opinions seem to be stronger than ever. There are also people that have almost given up on the race, saying no matter who is elected, they won't be satisfied. Regardless of where you stand, we want to hear why you feel the way you do.
On October 27th, 13 News headed to Oregon. Here's some of what residents had to say:
"Personally I think it's a joke," says resident Michael Ramsey. "But if I had to choose a candidate it would probably be Trump because he's more for the working class than Hillary Clinton."
"My whole voting career I have voted Republican until the primary this year where I took out a Democratic ballot and will be doing so come the general election," says resident Adrianne Suits.
"I'm going to vote for Trump and the only reason is I because I think he is speaking for what a lot of Americans feel," says resident Ginger Pearson.
"I can't imagine what would happen to the country with Donald Trump as president," says resident Judy Thomas. "And moreover, the idea of having a first woman president is more exciting than I can even think about. It's just great."
"As the campaign goes on I like Trump more and more," says resident Glen Or. "And Hillary is a liar she should be in jail."
"I don't know if I trust either candidate if I was going to chose one of them it would be Hillary." says resident Mike Pearce
