The City of Rockford is in the midst of its worst violent crime rate in decades, similar to a peak it saw in the mid 1990's.
Domestic violence, drugs, gangs, poverty, cuts to police forces: they all play a role in Rockford's violent crime problem.
But plans are in the works to reverse the trend, and help stop violent crime in its tracks.
