Rockford will send two of its high school girls golf teams to the state finals as Boylan and Lutheran take the top two spots in the 1A Rock Falls sectional on Saturday.
Reigning Greater Rockford Girls Classic champion Jesse Slattery took home medalist honors with a sectional-best 75 score as the Lady Titans won the sectional with a cumulative 349 score. Lutheran's 358 was good for second place to send the entire Lady Crusaders team to state. Caitlin Schoepfer had a team-best 83.
Metamora had the third best team score to advance to state. Local individual state qualifiers include Stockton's Megan Gille, Dixon's Olivia Pultorak, Oregon's Abi Scheidecker, and Byron's Abigail Richardson.
