A Roscoe man has been arrested and charged with residential arson.
According to the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, firefighters were called to a house fire at 7699 Cherry Hill Drive in Roscoe on August 20 just before 6:30 p.m.
Fire crews from several area departments were called to the fire, which was believed to be suspicious in nature.
The Illinois State Fire Marshal’s Office deemed the fire to be caused by arson and began an investigation with the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office.
Today, William Sullivan, 38, of Roscoe, was arrested. His address is listed as 7699 Cherry Hill Drive, the same as the location of the fire.
Sullivan is currently being held in the Winnebago County Jail on residential arson charges.
