Police Release Time Frame for Sycamore Double Murder


The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office has released the time frame they believe Patricia and Robert Wilson were murdered.  

Police believe the crime took place sometime between 7:45 p.m. and midnight Sunday, August 14. 

The following evening around 6 p.m. Patricia, 85, and Robert, 64, were found murdered inside their home. They were killed by blunt force trauma.

Patricia's car, a 2010 white Chevrolet Impala, was stolen. The car was located in Chicago near the Lincoln Park Zoo last week.

Police say the time frame for the murder was determined by the last time Patricia was known to have telephone contact with a family member and from video footage showing the stolen vehicle driving east on Route 64 in West Chicago.  

DeKalb County is receiving assistance from the Illinois State Crime Lab and the FBI in investigating this case. 

Police say the investigation into this crime continues. A reward of $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this crime is still active.
