The Hononegah School District is asking voters this November to approve a multi-million dollar master plan for the high school.
The district has placed a referendum on the ballot asking residents if it can sell $44 million in bonds. The distract says the plan would allow them to expand and upgrade the high school over the next five years.
One of upgrades would be the addition of a field house to replace the dome that collapsed during an ice storm last winter.
If passed, homeowners would pay $130 more in property taxes for every $100,000 their home is worth.
The first of four community forums on this proposal is Thursday night from 6 - 7:30 p.m. at the Hononegah High School Library.
The other forums are scheduled for: Wednesday, September 7 from 7:30 - 9 a.m.; Monday, September 12 from 6 - 7:30 p.m.; and Monday, September 19 from 6 - 7:30 p.m. All forums will take place in the Hononegah High School Library.
