Man Killed in Harvard Crash

A motor vehicle accident Saturday night claimed the life of a Lake in the Hills man, and injured two others.

According to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office, the accident occurred just after 7:30 p.m. Saturday night at the intersection of Route 23 and Streit Road south of Harvard.

Police say a truck ran a stop sign at the intersection and collided with a car containing a 24 year-old man, a 23 year-old woman and a 2 year-old child.

According to Winnebago County Chief Deputy Coroner William Hintz, the driver of the truck, 22 year-old Connor Kincaid, was ejected from the vehicle and was found unresponsive at the scene. Paramedics transported Kincaid to St. Anthony Medical Center where he was pronounced dead just before 9 p.m. Saturday.

Police say the child and the woman in the other car were taken to Rockford Memorial Hospital. The child was treated for non-life threatening injuries, while the woman was in critical condition.

The death is under investigation by the McHenry County Sheriff's Department. An Autopsy is pending by the Winnebago County Coroner's Office.
