Car Connected to Sycamore Double Murder Found


The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office says the missing car connected to a double murder in Sycamore last week has been found.

Monday, August 15 the bodies of Patricia Wilson, 85, and her son, Robert Wilson, 64, were found inside their home east of Sycamore. The two died from injuries due to blunt force trauma. 

No arrests have been made in connection with this case.

Police say a significant development occurred yesterday when the family's missing 2010 white Chevrolet Impala was located in Chicago. Police say the car was located early Wednesday morning near the Lincoln Park Zoo. 

Chicago Police kept the car under surveillance throughout the day Wednesday before the car was transported to DeKalb County later in the day. Police say officers searched the vehicle late into the night Wednesday, and evidence found in the car was sent to the State Crime Lab.

The investigation into this murder is ongoing. DeKalb County Crime Stoppers is offing a $25,000 reward to anyone who comes forward with information about this crime that results in the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects.
