Attorneys for the City of Rockford and a local union meet in court Wednesday over a lawsuit.
The issue stems from Governor Bruce Rauner's turnaround agenda. The International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150 claim Rockford aldermen violated the state Open Meetings Act this past spring.
The Rockford Register Star reports that city council members approved a resolution supporting the governor's pro-business proposal, but that it wasn't reportedly on the agenda.
The next court date is set for November.
