The Harlem School District begins the school year with the district, with teachers and support staff reaching an agreement earlier than usual.
A news release from the school district says negotiating teams with the Harlem Federation of Teachers began in early June with ratification the same month.
Support staff negotiations led to ratification in July.
Harlem Teachers union President Brad Sweet says the agreement provides stability to families and students at the beginning of the school year.
Superintendent Dr. Julie Morris says she's excited that the district was able to work together with the organizations to reach the agreements.
