Kevin Flack put on a repeat performance in the second round of the Greater Rockford Men's Golf Classic, shooting his second straight five-under par 66 to keep sole possession of first place in the championship flight of the tournament.
Flack had two eagles on the back nine at Ingersoll Golf Course, and made birdie on his final hole to end another terrific round.
The 2014 Men's City champ leads last year's winner, Kyle Slattery, by four strokes after two rounds of golf. The defending champion had a huge Sunday with a six-under par 65, ending the day with an eagle on 18.
Robert Dofflemyer and Matt Marinaro are tied for third and each eight shots off the lead. Dofflemyer shot one-under par for the second round, while Marinaro, playing in the first group, had an even-par 71.
Danny Gorman, Ken Lee, and Mick Hockinson are in a three-way tie for fourth place. Gorman and Lee each shot even for Sunday, while Hockinson carded a three-under 68.
The third round of the Men's City is scheduled for Saturday at Elliot Golf Course, with the final round next Sunday at Aldeen Golf Club.
