Ingersoll Golf Course will host two rounds of the Greater Rockford Girls Golf Classic as area athletes compete for the top youth female prize of the summer on the course.
Rising Boylan senior Jesse Slattery is the leader in the 17-18 year old division, and had the best score of any player in the first round with a 79. She leads fellow 17-18 year old competitors Carson Racich (84), Claudia Conness (84), and Madeline Sturm (94).
The top two players in the 15-16 year old division are Natalie Hooper (81) and Caitlin Schoepfer (84). They lead Kristen Sayyalinh and Sophia Nelson, who each shot a first-round 95 at Ingersoll.
The second round tees off at 7:30 AM on Tuesday, with the top quartet teeing off at 8:15.
