Rockford gets to show off its best attractions thanks to a new state initiative.
For the first time, the Illinois Department of Tourism and the Rockford Area Convention and Visitors Bureau are bringing the best of Rockford through a series of virtual tours.
These live tours will give travelers an exclusive look at different sites, attractions and eateries.
The first tour comes at 5 p.m. tomorrow at City Market.
Here is a list of the other five virtual tours:
— Monday, July 18 at 12 p.m. featuring Riverfront Museum Park
— Tuesday, July 19 at 12 p.m. featuring Anderson Japanese Gardens
— Wednesday, July 20 a 12 p.m. featuring downtown Rockford
— Thursday, July 21 at 12 p.m. featuring Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens
— Friday, July 22 at 12 p.m. featuring the Coronado Performing Arts Center and Cheap Trick.
