The Beloit Snappers improved to 10-9 in the second half of the Midwest League season with a 5-2 victory at home on Monday against the Burlington Bees.
The offense jumped out to an early 3-0 lead as Ryan Howell launched his sixth home run of the season in three-run 2nd inning. Justin Higley added an RBI single and Jordan Devencenzi scored on a Bees balk to jump-start the Snappers.
Higley finished the day 3-5 with 2 RBI in the leadoff spot for Beloit. Andy Paz registered the other RBI in the victory.
Boomer Biegalski picked up his sixth win of the year, tossing seven innings with five strikeouts.
The Snappers will take their three-game winning streak to Dayton, starting a three-game series against the Dragons on Wednesday.
