Snappers take Sunday showdown with Bees


The Beloit Snappers got back to the .500 mark in the second half standings in the Midwest League, defeating the Burlington Bees 5-4 on Sunday at Pohlman Field.

The Snappers won their second straight one-run game after squeaking past Burlington on Saturday, 9-8. Monday affords Beloit the opportunity to win the four-game series with a 12:00 first pitch.

Edwin Diaz and Brett Siddall launched solo home runs, while Trent Gilbert added a two-run base knock of his own to lead the offense on Bark in the Park Day for two and four-legged fans alike.
