CHICAGO (AP) - Video released from an officer's body-worn camera shows a black man killed by Chicago police had a gun in a holster at his hip and was running away and reaching toward his waist when he was shot multiple times. Police released the 30-second clip without sound Sunday, a day after 37-year-old Harith Augustus was killed in a shooting that set off violent protests.

CHICAGO (AP) - CVS Health is apologizing after a black customer says white store managers in Chicago accused her of trying to use a phony coupon. Camilla Hudson posted cellphone video of one of the managers appearing nervous. The 53-year-old Hudson says another manager directly challenged her when she tried to use a manufacturer's coupon for a free product. She tells The Associated Press that he was "hostile." No action was taken by police.

CHICAGO (AP) - Chicago police say a 59-year-old woman was fatally shot by a man attempting to carjack the vehicle she was riding in. The Chicago Tribune reports that police responded to a call from the West Humboldt Park neighborhood on the city's West Side about a possible carjacking shortly after 7 a.m.

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) - A new state program will automatically deduct money from the paychecks of about 1.2 million Illinois residents for a retirement savings plan. Illinois Treasurer Michael Frerichs says the move could reduce the use of food stamps, Medicaid and other publicly funded programs. The Daily Herald reports that Illinois Secure Choice is being phased in more than three years after becoming law.
