Young at Heart celebrating 45 years of fun for all ages
LOVES PARK (WREX) -
Sunday's great weather and holiday weekend made for a great day at the young at heart festival in loves park.
The four-day festival kicked off Friday, and organizers estimate Sunday was a record turnout for Kids' Day.
Nearly 30,000 people came out for last year's festival. Between the carnival rides, games, musical acts and live entertainment, the festival prides itself in being fun for everyone.
"Everybody is young at heart when they get in a festival, everybody's young again and they see the rides and the festival food," said Diana Johnson, Chairman of Young at Heart Festival. "It's a great thing. It's good for kids and adults too."
Monday is the last day for Young at Heart this year, with performances from Carl Cole and Clutch Cargo. Admission is just $10.
