Girl, 15, charged after Andreayah McBain death investigation

A 15-year-old girl is charged after a months-long investigation in to the death of 15-year-old Andreayah McBain.

The juvenile is charged with concealment of a homicidal death and obstruction of justice.

In October 2015, Andreayah's charred remains were found in an abandoned residence in rural Stephenson County.

Authorities say an investigation revealed that 28-year-old Natheon Hanson, and the 15-year-old female, were with Andreayah in Rockford when she allegedly overdosed on a combination of drugs.

Hanson and the 15-year-old girl then transported her body to the abandoned property in the 10000 block of East Greenfield Road in Stephenson County and burned her body.

In November, Hanson committed suicide during a traffic stop in Jerome, Ill.

The juvenile is in custody at the Winnebago County Juvenile Detention Center. Her name is being withheld because she is a minor.
