A Sunday event at Hope and Anchor helped raise money to feed those who are in need.
The CROP Hunger Walk held its annual fundraiser all day Sunday at the Hope and Anchor Pub in Loves Park.
Customers who dined could enjoy live music, and Hope and Anchor donated 15 percent of its sales to CROP, which stands for "Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty."
The money raised goes toward local food pantries and worldwide hunger relief efforts.
"It isn't just the local food pantries, but it's also disaster relief, whether it be forest fires, flooding, earthquakes, tornadoes, or hurricanes," said Bob Saunders of the CROP Walk Committee.
Last year's walk raised $40,000 dollars, $10,000 of which went to pantries in our community. This year's CROP Walk is Sunday, October 16.
