Fly-In Breakfast helps raise money for Young Eagles program
ROCKFORD (WREX) -
Cottonwood Airport hosted its annual Fly-In Drive-In breakfast Sunday morning.
While many didn't actually fly-in due to the cloudy weather, hundreds of people still drove-in to get their pancakes. This annual breakfast supports the EAA, or Experimental Aircraft Association.
Funds help upkeep the chapter and promote their Eagles and Young Eagles programs, where they teach others how to fly.
"It's also be able to hold aviation events within the hanger, as well as be able to help support us when we're doing the Young Eagles events and be able to advertise that and get the kids going," said Bryan Hunt, the President of EAA, Chapter 22.
Sunday's event helped raise around $500 for the chapter.
