IceHogs clean out lockers after playoff sweep

The Rockford IceHogs held an annual but bittersweet locker room cleaning as their season came to a close in the first round of the Calder Cup Playoffs.

The IceHogs were swept out of the postseason in three games by the Lake Erie Monsters, who scored five goals in each victory over Rockford.

The IceHogs won 40 games during the regular season for the sixth time in franchise history, and clinched their second consecutive playoff spot. Now the team will head into the offseason with 14 players under contract for next year, but 19 players headed into unrestricted or restricted free agency.
