Midway Village hosts 4th annual Great War reenactment
ROCKFORD (WREX) -
Hundreds of people gathered locally over the weekend to learn more about what life was like during World War One.
Midway Village hosted their Great War reenactment Saturday, April 9 and Sunday, April 10.
Many soldiers fought rain or shine, which is why the museum still held the reenactment with Sunday's rainy weather. With more than 250 reenactors, it is the largest World War One public demonstration in North America.
This is the museum's fourth year holding the event, which they say is a great way to get people excited to learn about history. Midway Village said they had close to a thousand people attend this weekend's event.
