IceHogs drop OT decision to Wild

The Rockford IceHogs lost for the second time in as many nights, falling to the Iowa Wild 4-3 in overtime at the BMO Harris Bank Center.

The teams traded goals in the first period on breakaways as the Wild scored just 1:15 into the contest before Pierre-Cedric Labrie broke out for the equalizer later in the opening frame.

Both teams notched a pair of goals in the second period, with Ville Pokka and Mark McNeill each grabbing a goal for the IceHogs. The Wild recorded the game-winner in overtime as the IceHogs picked up a point in the standings with just seven games left in the regular season.

Rockford now hits the road for five straight, starting with two in a row in Charlotte next Tuesday and Wednesday before a weekend set in Manitoba. An April 13th date in Iowa ends the road trip, followed by home dates against Grand Rapids and Milwaukee (4/15 and 4/16) to end the campaign.
