Beloit man arrested for 4th OWI offense


On Sunday, March 27 at about 1:55 a.m. a Deputy from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office arrested Malcom Grady, 43 years of age, from Beloit, Wis. for 4th Offense felony Operating Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Intoxicants.

Rock County Sheriff’s Deputies were on a complaint in the 3700 block of S. CTH J, when the vehicle being driven by Grady sideswiped an unoccupied parked squad car. Grady then lost control of his vehicle and drove into the ditch striking a dead tree stump.

Deputies immediately ran to the scene to check on Grady’s welfare, and found Grady uninjured. Deputies detected an odor of intoxicants on Grady’s breath, as contact was made contact with him.

The investigating Deputy asked Grady to perform field sobriety tests and he refused to do any of the tests. Grady was subsequently arrested for 4th Offense OWI, and issued citations for Operating While Revoked and No Insurance.

Grady was transported to the Rock County Jail where he was held for court.
