For Easter Sunday, many families got together to celebrate the true meaning of the holiday at church.
Many families spent their Easter Sunday at Rockford First this morning. Starting with a service packed with musical performances followed by a message.
Afterwards everyone could head to the egg factory to see where colored eggs are made. Kids could walk through the factory and even go home with some goodie-filled Easter eggs of their own.
"So many times families are busy and they're going all different directions," said Pastor Jeremy DeWeerdt, the lead pastor at Rockford First. "But this is our way to bring the family together to have an experience and have fun. Really the egg factory is just about having fun, and having fun at church."
Rockford First had over 10,000 people attend their Easter services throughout the weekend.
